Sunday Sandbox: International Stump Trivia

Anchorage Summer FairSummer Market: Anchorage, Alaska

Last week’s idea:

A book that explores the organizational and hierarchical framework of religion by looking at its leaders. How are the world’s top religious leaders selected? Can we draw parallels between Catholic seminaries, Judaic rabbinical schools and Buddhist monastic systems of education? I’d be interested in unraveling the process of leadership, the way leaders are born and learn and develop, the necessary hurdles to jump. Can we make comparisons between the Pope, the Dalai Lama, etc?

This week’s idea:

Have you ever heard of Stump Trivia? They’re the guys that organize trivia nights at bars across America. Questions range from literature and politics to sports and movies, and trust me, if you have never played trivia in a bar, you are missing out. It’s good clean fun. Why not seek out cities around the world that don’t have a large trivia culture and adapt the questions to the local bar goers? To those living outside of the U.S. – what do you think?

Took a break from the computer over the holiday weekend, but ready to get back into the blogosphere. Always good to be home amongst friends and family, but boy did I fall behind in my online work. Seems to be a running theme this time of year. Talk soon!
