Back in Boston

There’s something abut unbuckling my airplane seat belt just before the captain gives the go ahead that makes me feel like a rebel. I’m so disobedient. After two and half weeks of island hopping the Caribbean – somehow avoiding the onslaught of hurricanes – I am back in Boston. Had a ball of a time participating in bar trivia and karaoke last night, and it was good catching up with friends.

I won’t be traveling again until late October, location TBD. In the meantime, I have come up with a plan for the9to5alternative. I want to give you, the readers, some structure, something to expect on this site. So I’m going to try out the following format, and we’ll see happens. By limiting my range of writing topics, hopefully I can better understand my interests in the blogosphere and how to appropriately approach them. On the road, I will be writing what I enjoy best, travel writing, but while I am stateside, here is what to expect (in the meantime at least):

Monday – a post about sustainability

On Wednesday – a YouTube video

On Friday – a post about entrepreneurship

Simple, defined, yet broad enough to allow me some flexibility in my posts. Hopefully through these three categories the9to5alternative will begin to take form. I may throw in a random post here or there (if Michael Phelps decides to join the MLB, I’m sure as hell going to comment on it), but this is what I’m putting on the table.

Until tomorrow.
